Michael & Tracey

13 February 2016 – Canberra

The wharf at the National Museum in Canberra was the ideal location for keen boater and fisherperson Tracey to marry her long-time partner Michael. Lake Burley Griffin provided the perfect backdrop to the ceremony on a gorgeous Summer day. The walk from the Museum to the wharf by Tracey and her bridesmaids, in beautiful teal green dresses, was a wonderful sight. Michael and Tracey had photos taken in a boat on the lake following the ceremony before a reception in the Bay Window of the Museum. A truly stunning affair!

From the moment we met Louise, we knew she was the one to marry us. It was great to find someone that truly enjoys what she does and as such the whole process, from start to finish, was inspiring to us.

Louise genuinely and sincerely took the time to get to know us. She tailored materials and her advice making quite a daunting process very easy. She gave us plenty of assistance as well as the freedom to design a ceremony that reflected us, making it incredibly personal and special to not only us but our family and friends as well.

The day itself was absolutely perfect! We cannot thank Louise enough for presiding over and steering us through our very special day. We would definitely recommend Louise to anyone who is looking to get married. Many thanks again.

Robert & Marie

February 2016 – Mollymook

Marie and Robert came to me seeking a very private wedding ceremony, but one with class and elegance. They selected the beautiful Bannisters by the Sea for their ceremony and the backdrop from the balcony of their suite was perfect for proceedings. With only two witnesses and their partners present, it was a huge privilege to be trusted with such an intimate affair. It was a truly beautiful ceremony and their marriage was followed with French champagne all round!. True to their wishes for a private affair, I've only included a photo of me officiating and the beautiful view from Bannisters.

Louise was the ideal celebrant for us. After only meeting with us once, she somehow wrote a fantastic ceremony that required absolutely no revision and respected our desire for a private, low-key wedding ceremony. Louise made sure she understood our attire as well, and on the day her lovely dress not only blended in with the colours, she complemented the whole affair. Most importantly, Louise arrived early and put us at ease and then gracefully guided the ceremony with her beautiful speaking voice. She ensured all the paperwork was in order and made it possible for us to simply enjoy the moment.

James & Samantha

9 January 2016 – Myola Beach

The beautiful Samantha and James tied the knot at Myola Beach with many of James' family and friends from the UK in attendance. It was such an honour to marry this gorgeous couple and to work again with the world's best photographer, Kylie Scott. A highlight was having the marriage certificates and register witnessed by both grandfathers, one of whom had flown from the UK to be there. Fur baby Beau was on his best behaviour and looked sartorially elegant in a bow tie. Styling by Shoalhaven Party Hire.

Louise was the perfect celebrant for our special day.

We found the most difficult aspect of planning our wedding was finding the right celebrant; the different personalities can really set a positive/negative atmosphere to the day. We asked our photographer for suggestions and she fortunately recommended Louise. Immediately from our first telephone conversation Louise was a clear professional in her field and very personable. All throughout the lead up to the wedding Louise was genuinely excited, supportive & extremely knowledgeable when it came to the legalities and all aspects of marriage. She has an impressive collection of helpful documents, which came in handy when it came to writing our vows.

The rehearsal ceremony was another fantastic element of the service Louise provides to her clients; she even organised our music the day before our wedding. Post-wedding, the most popular feedback we received from our guests was in regards to how wonderful Louise was; a true indication of the fantastic role she plays at her client weddings.

An unusual aspect to our wedding was having our grandfathers witness the marriage, from the first mention of this Louise was incredibly supportive. For us it was a highlight of the wedding day. A month after, one of our grandfathers passed away and we have his signature on our marriage certificate as a lasting memory. Both our families thank Louise for honouring our wish to have such a special memory incorporated into the ceremony.

Nathan & Melany

15 December 2015 – Hyams Beach

It was a true privilege to marry the beautiful Melany and Nathan in a quintessentially Australian beach wedding at Chinaman's Beach at Hyams (the whitest sand in the world!). It was a perfect setting, day and ceremony, complete with champagne to follow on the beach. A truly beautiful couple in every way. As a Whisper Weddings and Functions did a wonderful job as always styling the gorgeous arbour and setting. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Holt!

On 15th December 2015 we had the absolute pleasure of being married by Louise McDonough at Chinaman's Beach.

Louise made the whole process, from the initial planning through to our ceremony, such a simple, stress-free experience. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect in every way. Louise created an intimate, emotion filled ceremony for us and there wasn't a dry eye in sight! Even our photographer was wiping away tears! Our day wouldn't have been what it was if it wasn't for Louise and her amazing attention to detail.

Louise travelled to our home to meet us and transformed 'our story' into a beautiful, touching ceremony. We feel truly blessed that we found Louise for our ceremony! It was 'meant to be' as they say!

Louise was wonderful to deal with, fast to respond to all of our queries, punctual, immaculately groomed and she delivered our ceremony with absolute perfection.

All of our guests commented that they had never experienced a ceremony like ours and were all overcome with emotion. There was laughter and tears and Louise held everyone's attention throughout the entire ceremony.

We are more than happy to recommend Louise McDonough as a Civil Celebrant to anyone that is looking to get married. You will not be disappointed!

A huge THANKYOU to you again Louise! Not only are you an amazing Celebrant, you're a genuine, sincere and absolutely gorgeous person.

Murray & Tatiana

28 November 2015 – Willow Farm, Berry

Willow Farm, Berry in Berry provided a stunning backdrop to Murray and Tatiana's wedding. The 5! flower girls performed their role faultlessly. It was such an honour to marry this lovely couple surrounded by their family and friends. During the ceremony, Murray and Tatiana put a special bottle of wine in a box along with two notes to each other, to open on their first anniversary as a memory of their special day. A truly beautiful wedding accompanied by the music of Shoalhaven Strings.

We were very impressed with Louise since the first day we met, she gave an aura of professionalism and kindness that we instantly felt comfortable with her. We didn't even bother meeting with another celebrant, Louise's approach was exactly what we were after: a ceremony that would reflect us as a couple. Louise provided all the necessary info not only during our first meeting, but in the lead up and even after our wedding. The ceremony itself was beautifully done, so much so that lots of our guests commented on how lovely and personal it was told and that they enjoyed every minute. My parents in particular loved Louise's approach. Louise is a beautiful person and a wonderful celebrant, she created a ceremony that we will remember forever. Thank you Louise!!!

Chan & Loren

21 November 2015 – Hillview Heritage Hotel, Sutton Forest

I was truly honoured to marry the gorgeous Loren and Chan at the stunning Hillview Heritage Hotel in Sutton Forest. A highlight was the Laotian Wedding Ceremony that preceded their civil ceremony. Loren and Chan wore traditional Laotian wedding attire and it was incredibly moving. Chan surprised Loren during the ring giving in the civil ceremony with an eternity ring, in addition to her wedding band... not a dry eye in the house! Darling Events did an amazing job in styling the ceremony and reception.

Louise recently married us and we were so happy that we had chosen Louise to be our celebrant. She is professional, helpful and very passionate about what she does. We felt at ease with Louise from the moment we met her. Her calm nature and highly organised manner really helped relieve any nerves we may have had. We would highly recommend Louise and can't thank her enough for making our ceremony so magical.

Dane & Emily

7 November 2015 – Terara Riverside Gardens

The rain held off to ensure a beautiful wedding ceremony for Dane and Emily at Terara Riverside Gardens. The vintage carnival theme was fantastic. A highlight during the ceremony was the reading of a poem that Dane wrote especially for Emily as part of the ceremony. Another was the Polish wedding tradition where Emily's father Richard offered the bride and groom two shot glasses - one with Vodka and one with water. Legend has it that the one who gets the Vodka is the head of the household. Dane got the Vodka... but Emily said it's clear she'll continue to reign!

The very talented Kylie Scott Weddings + Portraits Photographer captured every moment beautifully. Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Couchman!

We cannot recommend Louise more highly as a celebrant! Being left without a celebrant suddenly in the final weeks to our wedding, we found a silver lining - and that was Louise. From the very beginning, Louise made us feel like she had everything under control, which was a breath of fresh air during the chaos of planning our own wedding. Louise completely embraced and celebrated us for who we were which was strongly reflected during our unique and light hearted ceremony, and no request was too difficult. Louise, we can't thank you enough! I only wish I could have another wedding for you to officiate! xxx

David & Janene

6 November 2015 – Terara Park

The rain didn't dampen the spirits or excitement at David and Janene's rustic wedding at Terara Park. Their 8 beautiful children celebrated with them to make a wonderful family event. The girls all accompanied Janene as she walked into the arena and looked beautiful. A highlight was the giving of rings by sons Harry and Jaxen, who performed their duties perfectly. A wedding full of love and laughter!

Louise went above and beyond to make our wedding so special and such a great memory for us and our children. Right from the start we knew we were in good hands. Louise is lovely to deal with, highly organised and nothing was too much trouble. She took a genuine interest in us as a couple and in our children. This showed through in the beauty of the ceremony she wrote and which she delivered with feeling and professionalism. We cannot recommend Louise highly enough.

Jonathan & Laura

24 October 2015 – Hyams Beach

I had the real privilege of marrying Laura and Jonathan at a stunning home overlooking Hyam's Beach. A truly beautiful couple and a perfect day.

Laura and Jonathan's marriage coincided with Laura's parents' 60th birthday celebrations so it was certainly a memorable birthday for them. It was truly a family affair with brother-in-law Danny assuming responsibilities as official photographer, Jono's parents flying in from Hong Kong and baby niece Lottie stealing the show!

Louise is everything we wished for in a celebrant. She's poised, dignified and professional and made us feel like the world's most special couple on our wedding day.

After only one meeting with Louise, she completely understood who we were and what we stood for as a couple. She was able to create a magical ceremony for us that reflected our personalities and relationship. We're so glad we found Louise and we would highly recommend her.

Justin & Lara

18 October 2015 – Tilbury Cove, Culburra Beach

I had the honour and great pleasure of officiating at the marriage of Lara and Justin at Tilbury Cove, Culburra Beach. A gorgeous couple and stunning setting. The hot pink theme really popped on the beach and fur baby Harley kept everyone entertained throughout! Monica Willis of Hoorah Events did a beautiful job styling the ceremony and the gorgeous flowers were by Flamingo Florist, Nowra.

On the 18th of October Louise officiated at our wedding. We would like to say what a wonderful service Louise performed, but the relationship with Louise had been built over the months approaching the wedding date. Louise attended to every detail, gave advice & instilled in us a sense of peace with a very personable & professional approach.

I cannot recommend Louise as your celebrant highly enough. Louise you are not only a great celebrant, but a really lovely person to know.

Justin & Lara

Louise – we are feeling a little more recovered today & the first thing I want to do before the day starts is to thank you so much for making Lara & Justin's wedding service the special occasion that it was.

I knew the moment I met you I liked you, but as well as being a lovely person you are very professional as well as personal in your service. Without you involved it would not have been the special occasion it was for us and Lara & Justin. At the reception everyone was singing your praises. Our guests thought you did a wonderful job.

Again thank you so so much for all you did to help to make it a beautiful service.
